Platja d'Aro

Located in the centre of the Costa Brava, there is the village of Platja d'Aro, which has all what we need for our holidays.
We could stay in our days of rest in its beaches, emphasizing the Big Beach, of gross sand deep waters, or if we prefer more privacy, we can enjoy a bath in one of the different little coves, full of charm and tranquillity, following the “Cami de Ronda”, discovering, at the same time, the wonderful views that it offers us.
From Cavall Bernat to the beach of Sant Antoni, passing through Cala Artigues, Sa Cova, Cala de les Carbasses, Cala del Pi, Plana d'en Ros, Cala dels Canyers, Balladona and St. Jordi, Platja del Compte, Can Cristus, Cala del Cap de Roques Planes y la Platja de Torre Valentina.
Next to the road that goes to Palamos, there's an archaeological area, the Roman Village Pla de Palol (of the 1rst and 5th Century B.C.).
We'll see a typical small village from catalonia, with its “farmer houses”.. in Castell d'Aro, next to Platja d'Aro, following the road that goes to Santa Cristina.
It's nice in there the rectorate (1.569), the Church of Santa Maria de Castell d'Aro and the Castle of Benedormiens, located near the Church.
The original ensemble of Castell D'Aro, is formed by the streets that surround the Church and the castle, like the Carme Street, the Hospital Street, the Sol Str. And the Costal Str.
We'll finish the itinerary in S'Agaro, with the ancient Hotel Monumental, a leading building of important historical facts, which is currently renovated.
