Llançà

Llança, located in the North of the Costa Brava, belongs to the Alt Empordà, and has 2 different parts: the village and the harbour.
The village, was built around the Mayor Square, and is where we find the historical centre. The harbour is the new part of Llança.
In the region, there're different green areas and beaches of several conditions: from sandy beaches to little coves, where we only can go on foot. Inside the village, we can visit a few places with hereditary value: In the centre of the Mayor Square, there is the Parish Church, built in the 18th Century. There're next to it, the remains of the gothic castle, which belonged to the feudal lord of
Llança. In the same square, we can visit the Museum of Watercolour, the unique one in this modality in Spain.
We also find in the village, the Church of Sant Vicenç de Llança.
We can walk through the harbour where we ‘ll see the chapel of the harbour and the “Roca del Castellar”, a beautiful viewpoint, from where we can observe the whole harbour and this area. Around the village, there's the Church del Terrer, located in the housing-scheme Sant Genis del Terrer.
If we go towards Sant Marti de Vallmala, we can find, passing through the “Font d'en Perassa”, the Dolmen “del Passatge”, or also called “Tomba de l'Abat”.
We'll go then to the Cap de Creus, surrounded with sea, border on “Plana Empordanesa”. It formed the Serra de Rodes. Here, we can find a lot of monuments and grassy Mediterranean fields and masses of woods with lots of birds, mammals. ..
But the charm of the environment is under the crystal-clear waters, the exceptional fauna and flora, overall the red coral.
If we come out of the municipality Port de la Selva, we can go to Sant Pere de Rodes, located in the Serra de Verdera. Is the Romanesque ensemble most important of Catalonia, because of its architectural importance and its privileged situation, from where we can observe the Cap de Creus and the Gulf of Lleo.
